Terms of Use

Mango Habits is provided by [operator's full legal name], [legal form and registration number], [address], Ukraine (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us for using the Mango Habits app and its cloud backup.

By using the app, you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.

Mango Habits helps you keep track of the habits you choose. You can:

• add your own habits or pick from a starter list, set which days they're for, and give each one a smaller version for hard days;
• mark a habit as a full or half win, and see your daily percentage and whether you had a good day;
• look back over your week and month, and get weekly and monthly recaps;
• get gentle prompts when a habit hasn't been ticked for a while, and move habits you want a break from to the resting basket;
• set reminders, quiet hours, days off and when your day ends;
• use the app in English or Ukrainian.

You need to be at least 16 years old to use Mango Habits. By using it, you confirm that you are.

You don't need an account. Without one, everything you enter is stored only on your phone. We can't see it, back it up or restore it.

That also means it can be lost for good if you delete the app, reset or lose your phone, or use More → Settings → Your data → Delete all data. If your habits matter to you, create an account or export a CSV from time to time.

An account is optional. The app may invite you to create one so your mangoes aren't lost. You can sign in with:

• Google. Google confirms who you are; we receive your email address and a Google account identifier. We never see your Google password.
• Email. We send a one-time code to your address. There is no password to remember.

Because a sign-in code goes to your email, anyone with access to your inbox or Google account can sign in as you. Keep them secure, and write to us at mango-habits@synoviasystems.com if you think someone else has access. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

How sync works

The app always saves to your phone first, so it works offline. When you're signed in and online, changes are backed up to our cloud database in the EU and synced to your other phones, usually within a minute. The Account screen shows whether everything is saved.

If you sign in on a phone that already has habits, the app asks whether to merge them with your saved ones or use only the saved ones. When the same habit was changed on two phones, the most recent change is kept.

We work hard to keep sync reliable, but it depends on your connection, your phone and services we don't control, so we can't promise it will never fail or be delayed. Exporting a CSV now and then is a good backup.

Signing out. The app saves your latest changes first, then asks whether to keep a copy on this phone. If you keep it, it uploads again the next time you sign in. If you remove it, the phone is cleared and onboarding starts again. Your cloud data stays in your account either way.

Deleting your account. Go to More → Account → Delete account and type DELETE (ВИДАЛИТИ in Ukrainian) to confirm. This deletes your account and all habits saved in the cloud. It can't be undone. You can still choose to keep a copy on your phone. If you ever buy a subscription, deleting your account doesn't cancel it; do that in your App Store or Google Play settings. Leftover copies in backups are erased on the schedule in the Privacy Policy.

Deleting data on your phone. More → Settings → Your data → Delete all data removes everything from this phone. It doesn't delete your account or your cloud data.

Your habit names, small wins, schedules and check-ins belong to you. You give us permission only to store, back up, sync and show them to you, and only for as long as that's needed to run the app. We don't publish, sell or share them, we don't send them to analytics, and we'll never use them for advertising.

You can take a copy at any time with More → Settings → Your data → Export as CSV.

Habit names are free text, so you might write something personal, for example about your health. Please only enter what you're comfortable storing in the cloud, or use the app without an account.

The app itself, including its design, illustrations, mango artwork, texts and code, belongs to us. You may use it for your own personal use, but not copy, resell or redistribute it.

Reminders, the evening check-in and recaps are scheduled on your phone from the times you choose, and they respect your quiet hours. You can change or turn off each one in More → Settings or in your phone's settings.

Your phone's operating system decides when notifications are actually shown, so they may be late or not appear, for example in battery-saving or focus modes. Please don't rely on Mango Habits for anything time-critical, such as taking medication.

Please use Mango Habits as intended. In particular, don't:

• try to access other people's data, our database or our systems without permission;
• interfere with the app or the cloud service, overload it, or get around its security;
• create accounts or pull data using bots or other automated tools;
• reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
• use the app to break the law.

Mango Habits is currently free. It shows no ads and has no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Tracking your habits, sync and export will always be part of the free version.

In the future we may show ads in the free version and offer optional purchases, such as removing ads or unlocking extras. Before that happens, we'll update these terms and the Privacy Policy and tell you in the app. From then on, these rules apply.

If we add ads

Ads would be served by an ad network such as Google AdMob. They're chosen by advertisers, not by us, so we aren't responsible for their content or for the products they promote. Your habits, check-ins and email address will never be shared with ad networks or used to choose ads, and personalised ads will only be shown if you agree.

If we add purchases

Before you buy, the App Store or Google Play shows you the price and what you get.

• Payment is handled by Apple or Google under their terms. We never see your card details.
• Subscriptions, if offered, renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Mango Habits account doesn't cancel them.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. This doesn't affect your rights as a consumer under the law.
• Restoring. Purchases are linked to your store account, and you can restore them on a new phone with the same store account.
• Right of withdrawal. In the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content that starts right away, you agree when buying that it starts immediately, and you then lose that right, as the law allows.

We'll never charge for streak repairs or other mechanics that put pressure on you.

Some parts of Mango Habits rely on other companies, each under its own terms:

• Apple App Store and Google Play distribute the app. Their store terms also apply to your download.
• Google handles “Sign in with Google”.
• Supabase hosts our database and sign-in, in Frankfurt, Germany.
• Brevo sends sign-in code emails.
• Google Analytics for Firebase counts how the app is used, only if you allow it.

The Privacy Policy explains what data each of them receives.

If you got the app from the Apple App Store

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app, its content, maintenance or support, or for handling any claims about it. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no warranty obligations for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you aren't in a country subject to a US government embargo and aren't on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

We keep improving Mango Habits, so features may change, be added or be removed. Some updates may be needed to keep sync working. We won't take away something you've paid for during the period you paid for it.

If we ever plan to stop the cloud service or the app, we'll tell you in the app at least 60 days in advance, so you have time to export your data.

You can stop using Mango Habits at any time, delete your account in the app, and uninstall it.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or when the law requires it. Unless that's impossible or would cause harm, we'll tell you first and give you the chance to export your data.

Accounts that haven't been used for a long time are handled as described in the Privacy Policy: we email you before anything is deleted.

We provide Mango Habits with care, but we provide it “as is”. We don't promise that it will always be available, error-free, or suited to any particular goal.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data you could have avoided by keeping a backup. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 50, whichever is higher.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or takes away your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you don't agree with the new terms, you can stop using the app and delete your account. The date at the top shows the current version.

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. If you live in the EU or elsewhere, you also keep the mandatory consumer protections of your own country, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
